Møstings Hus: Call for Applications

Møstings Hus invites to a new round of applications

AF Line Ebert

2013 was an eventful year for Møstings Hus, which, among other things, entailed two awards from Statens Kunstfonds Billedkunstneriske Indkøbs- og Legatudvalg. One was for the exhibition “Uden titel” by Klaus Thejll Jakobsen and the other was for Finn Naur Petersen's exhibition “Frederiksbergtegninger”.

Møstings Hus is no longer part of Frederiksberg Kommune, but is now run together with Cisternerne and is a part of the self-owned institution Frederiksbergsmuseerne, which also includes Storm P. Museet, Revymuseet and Bakkehusmuseet. The exhibition forum, which selects potential exhibitions among the applicants, is continued despite the new status of the house. The forum therefor still consists of the artists; Torben Ebbesen, Rasmus Danø, Steen Møller Rasmussen, Anne Marie Ploug og Søren Ankarfeldt, as well as artistic director of Møstings Hus, Astrid la Cour.

Whatever it concerns contemporary art, music, literature or performance, it is the ideas and experiments of the artists that hold main focus, when looking at the applications. The strong exhibition profile will be preserved and developed in the coming future, meanwhile the first floor will increasingly be incorporated in the total profile of the house – beginning with the well-received “Fortættet Fredag” events.

The next deadline is Thursday May 1 2014 for the period summer 2015 – summer 2016.
