"The Curves of the World” is an ambitious exhibition programme curated by Mette Woller that consists of a physical exhibition at Kunsthal Charlottenborg, a series of performances and talks taking shape as a TV-Kitchen show. The Curves of the world is the first edition of CHART EMERGING, a collaboration between CHART ART FAIR and the School of Visual Arts, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts to promote aspiring, young artists.

"The Curves of the World" exists as an independent exhibition program hacking into the official CHART program. CHART presents “the now” and "The Curves of the World" suggests “what’s next?”.

With a point of departure in the Science Fiction genre CyperPunk, “The Curves of the World" exists as a parasite that hacks into the system of CHART ART FAIR 2016 – not as much to criticize the art fair as to stress its values and its structure. The project exists as a collateral programme that investigates parallels between the futuristic cooking manifestos of the 30s and the new Nordic food traditions.

By sampling CyperPunk with Futurism, Viking traditions with Sci-Fi, fetishism and pop culture "The Curves of the World" flips and reverse the apocalyptic origin of CyperPunk by fusion the past and the present to suggest a positive future.
