PRESSEMEDDELELSE

Lunds konsthall presents two separate exhibitions. On the lower floor sculptures by Staffan Nihlén are exhibited and on the upper level presents a survey of artist-made books from the local region.

Artist-made books, or the so frequently used English term artists’ books, is an art form that engages many artists. The artists’ book can appear in many ways; some may resemble a conventional book, others can approach something resembling painting, musical compositions or other art forms. An artists’ book is something more than artistic illustrations to text material, the whole product is a unified work of art. In this exhibition, works by over one hundred artists are displayed. A handful of these artists have contributed with entirely new works. Curator is Thomas Millroth.
